Connecting together the right people on the overarching issue of risk should involve the expertise found within government, regulatory bodies, research councils, and the communities of interest represented by professional bodies and other networks. Not only is the collaboration of third party members actively encouraged, with the ultimate ambition of knowledge transfer, but as a diverse community of interest, the Lighthill Risk Network represents a forum with which to approach policymakers and regulators with the needs of its members. As with members from insurance and scientific communities, you can participate by becoming a partner organisation or individual member (see Joining the Network).
