The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) functions as an advisory group to distil the views of the Lighthill Risk Network Industry members on current key areas of risk. The discussion agenda will represent areas of concern raised by the Board members, a poll of the business and third party membership, and ideas presented from the scientific community via the Research Advisory Board (RAB).

The IAB meets formally three times a year to condense the views of the business community, identify key themes for seminars, workshops, conferences, and newsletters, to evaluate opportunities arising from emerging trends and developments in commerce, and discuss feedback on the value being delivered by the network to the business membership. The Board’s constituents and chairman will be reviewed annually. For 2006/2007 the IAB chairman is Dickie Whitaker.
