Industry Subscribers are the life-blood of the Lighthill Risk Network community. They ask the questions and, reflecting the ever-developing world of risk, bring new ideas and directions to the Network.
Subscribers are of two types:
- Base subscribers, who pay £5,000 per annum (or dollar equivalent) to join the Network as active members. For this subscription, their employees can benefit from free attendance (subject to seat availability, of course) at seminars, workshops and the annual conference, the quarterly journal on a topic selected by the Industry Advisory Board, the monthly newsletter, and use of the on-line database and discussion services.
- Usage Subscribers, who pay a further £5,000 (or dollar equivalent) for 10 “contact points”, where each contact point is a completed dialogue with a Risk Fellow, or may be used as the equivalent of a man-day’s worth of assistance from the Lighthill Risk Network (e.g. on projects or consultancy to investigate a question in-depth). Additional usage subscription can be acquired with tariffs according to need
In simple terms, each Usage Subscription is used to create two new Risk Fellows to extend the academic and scientific network. As subscription increases, our network of Risk Fellows increases, and the pool of world-class expertise that you can tap into grows further.
