The Lighthill Risk Network is a newly established not-for-profit organisation, set up in the Lighthill Institute of Mathematical Sciences at UCL to bring together scientific research worldwide, industry (initially Insurance), government and third party organisations in exchanging risk-related expertise.

The specific aim of the network is to facilitate and enhance knowledge transfer into business, initially insurance, from academic, government, professional and commercial experts at the forefront of risk-related research. We promote personal contacts, and foster relationships between Industry and researchers through problem-focused contact calls from business subscribers to our ‘Risk Fellows’, and between Lighthill Risk Network members in general. This is achieved via state-of-the-art dynamic website services, newsletters, and a multitude of events open to industry, science and third party members, including workshops, seminars, study groups, interest groups and an annual conference.
